Non Destructive Testing

We have a full range of NDT instruments and conduct tests such as :

 

Rebound Hammer Test :  The rebound hammer can provide a fairly accurate estimate of concrete compressive strength. Because it is a nondestructive testing device, it can be used on finished concrete structures, such as precast concrete septic tanks. However strict procedures must be followed

Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test :  This method of testing is done with the instrument called Portable Ultrasonic Non – destructive Digital Indicating Tester, shortly known as PUNDIT. Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity is a Non destructive test of concrete, which can be used to find the quality of existing concrete structures and to detect the weak zones in the concrete structures.


Concrete Core Extraction :  This test is used to determine the compressive strength of a concrete core, which has usually been extracted from an existing structure. The value of compressive strength can then be used in conjunction with other measured properties to assess the condition of the concrete.


Rebar Location & Cover-meter : It is a non destructive testing device used to locate reinforcement in concrete

 

Half-cell potential Test / Concrete Resistivity Test : Basically, the half-cell potential (HCP) test assesses the condition of the steel embedded in concrete with regard to corrosion activity [1, 2]. In this method, the electrical potential difference between the upper steel rebars and a standard portable reference electrode in contact with the concrete surface is measured

 

Pile Integity Test : A pile integrity test (also known as low strain dynamic test, sonic echo test, and low strain integrity test) is one of the methods for assessing the condition of piles or shafts. It is cost effective and not very time consuming.The test is based on wave propagation theory.


Vibration Test : To assess the vibrations ( Velocity, Acceleration & displacement ) in buildings, RCC / structural members, machine foundations, bridges, dams, RCC chimney etc. Also to assess vibrations of machines, pumps, motors,  D. G. Sets, Turbines etc.

 

Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge :  For metal plates, pipes, sections

 

Concrete Load Test :  Performance acceptance test for flexural members  & Bridges

 

Carbonation , Sulphate,  Chloride Content tests

Construction Material Laboratory Testing

Our  laboratory has advanced and modern test set-up such as, fully computerised  Universal Testing Machine, Compression Testing Machine, Concrete Pan Mixer, Temperature Controlled Curing Tanks along with all other test equipments.  The lab has also got a  temperature and humidity controlled Cement test facility.

Structural Stability Certification
 
According to Government regulations, all Factories and Residential Societies are expected to undergo assessment and obtain a Structural Stability Certificate from a chartered civil engineer, every 5 years.  We are the competent authority to provide such certification.  We offer services including detailed inspection, assessing the strengths & weakness of the structure, conducting NDT, preparing repair / rehabilitation scheme, monitoring repair work and issuing Structural Stability Certificate.
